Thanksgiving Cartoons

I have been collecting these for a couple of years and pull them out each Thanksgiving to email to friends. At the very least they are thought provoking and some make me smile. Enjoy

I will be back in a little while with a recipe for basil oil.

  1. I think I like the one on the bottom the best. They made me laugh, thank you for sharing them.

    Happy cooking!

  2. Thanks for sharing...I get so sick of hearing people talk about eating turkey this time of year, I could scream...I know omnis eat meat all year long, but rarely are they so vocal about it AARRGH.

  3. the first annoying dont really like thanksgiving, its so hard to thinkof all the turkeys...and i hate how cheap their lives are sold for

  4. Michelle (dirtyduck),

I know all my omni friends secretly think vegans are annoying. And that is okay. I think it is important to be able to laugh at myself. It is certainly no worse than some of the things we think of omnis.

I am having a hard time with Thanksgiving this year. Much more so than normal, and I don't know why. Subconsciously I think I am having difficulty with the "turkey centerpiece" I know will be on the table tomorrow. I just find it very sad that people don't think about where their food comes from and the impact it has on their health.

Time to think about something more pleasant before I get into a funk.

What are you making tomorrow for dinnr?

  5. i try to keep an open mind...well more like a closed mouth....when i see people i love not caring about something that seems so HUGE to me.its just sad, really really sad. we all know that you did that to please your parents and that it took a lot out of you to do it, they probably have no idea how mcuh though. im so sorry i know you didnt want to do that

  6. Michelle,

I work on the closed mouth issue myself. It is hard to see people you care about not taking care of themselves. But, you can't point it out to everyone without causing a lot of hard feelings.

You know me too well. Yes I did make the turkey for my mother. My father was fine with a veggie Thanksgiving. The sad part is that my mother is the one that shouldn't have it. Oh well, I do what I can but know in the end the decisions she makes are out of my control. =(

    talk to you soon,
