Dr. Oz Show and the Anti-Cancer Diet

(Source: Dr. Oz website)

Today on the Dr. Oz show there was a short 5-minute discussion about the anti-cancer diet. The video is posted at his website here. I thought some of you might find it interesting.

I disagree with Dr. Oz promoting yogurt due to the casein content. I have read that dairy protein is 80% casein, 20% whey and that while whey is safe and healthy, casein is inflammatory and cancer promoting. However, other than this minor complaint the video is worth watching.

I will try to come back later tonight and post our dinner. This evening I made acorn squash stuffed with curried rice, cauliflower, tomato and cashews. It was quite tasty if I do say so myself. If I don't get our dinner posted tonight, I will get it posted in the morning.

  1. We'll have to agree to disagree on Dr. Oz. I accidentally caught a few seconds of his show yesterday and immediately flipped channels. He gave me the creeps, like a slimy snake-oil salesman.

  2. Shenandoah,

I have a similar disdain for Oprah that most people don't understand. We all react differently to people.

What I like about Oz is that he is a big advocate of making lifestyle changes (diet and exercise) that most doctors ignore.
