Not that it is difficult or even time consuming but you will be reading and rereading the directions and that takes time. I think you will be pleased by how easy it is and how "meat like". Even my 80 year old omnivore parents like it.

If you have any questions don't hesitate to ask. I am always happy to help.

AliciaVegan Epicureanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08203676819322299569noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3790414766945352054.post-42496871631913545942009-11-24T01:12:36.433-05:002009-11-24T01:12:36.433-05:00Thanks, Alicia! I found out that Dee Dee and her family love beef but I've never cooked real beef before and I feel yucky to cook it. So I think I would make beefy seitan satay with peanut sauch and maybe spicy beefy seitan salad. DeeDee knows that I'll make Thai vegetarian food for her only, no real meat!Oraphanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03998145117245769730noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3790414766945352054.post-71291997958326600382009-11-23T22:57:42.817-05:002009-11-23T22:57:42.817-05:00Oraphan,

I think either the beefy or the white meat version (with a hint of worcestershire) would work with satay sauce. It sounds like a great idea to make for your friend Dee Dee. Are you trying to show her vegetarian food can be tasty?

If you decide to make the satay I would suggest you make the seitan a day or two before so you know you have the process down. Have you made seitan before? It was a little intimidating for me the first time I made it. Now it is so easy I can practically make it with my eyes closed.

Please let me know how it turns out. If you have any questions let me know. I am happy to answer.

Alicia

AliciaVegan Epicureanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08203676819322299569noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3790414766945352054.post-31859492650625967612009-11-23T22:50:09.050-05:002009-11-23T22:50:09.050-05:00Oh, and I have to say that I totally agreed with R...Oh, and I have to say that I totally agreed with Rose, you are the Queen of Seitan!!!

By the way, have you ever made Beefy Seitan with peanut sauce (like Thai style "Satay")?, I'm thinking of making fake beef satay with peanut sauce for my friend, Dee Dee.Oraphanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03998145117245769730noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3790414766945352054.post-8466821670591619722009-11-23T22:47:55.057-05:002009-11-23T22:47:55.057-05:00Oraphan,
